This policy explains what 1EXIT ("1EXIT," "we," "us") collects when you use 1exit.com or respond to our ads on Facebook or Instagram, and what we do with it. We buy businesses directly from owners. Contact: hello@1exit.com.
Information we collect
- What you give us. Your role, when you might sell, business type, state, years in business, revenue and owner-earnings ranges, how the business is run, your name, business name, phone number, email and best time to call. This comes from our website form or from a Facebook or Instagram lead form.
- What we collect automatically. Pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and the ad, campaign or link that brought you here.
- What we do not ask for. We never ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, passwords, health information or other sensitive personal data. Please do not send them to us.
How we use it
- To contact you about a possible purchase of your business, by phone, text or email, only as you agreed.
- To decide whether your business fits what we buy and to prepare for our call.
- To measure and improve our website and our ads.
- To meet legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.
Facebook, Instagram and the Meta Pixel
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are run by Meta Platforms, Inc. If you submit one of our Meta lead forms, Meta gives us the answers you entered. We use the Meta Pixel and similar tools on this site to see which ads lead to a form submission and to show our ads to people who may be interested. These tools may send Meta information such as the pages you view, your IP address, your device and browser, and a cookie or ID. We may also send Meta a hashed (scrambled) version of your email or phone number when you submit a form, so it can match the result to our ad. Meta handles that information under its own Privacy Policy. You can manage the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences and turn off off-Meta activity in your Meta account settings.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and measure results. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing. We share it only with: service providers that help us run our business (our CRM, calling, texting, scheduling, hosting and analytics tools); Meta, as described above; lenders or investors who help fund a possible purchase; professional advisors; and authorities when the law requires it.
Texts and calls
If you agree, we may call and text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time. Consent is not a condition of anything. We do not share mobile numbers or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
Your choices and how to delete your data
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Email hello@1exit.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the name and phone number you gave us. We will confirm and complete the request within 30 days, except for records we are required by law to keep. If you came from a Facebook or Instagram ad, you can also remove our app's access to your Facebook information in your Facebook settings under Apps and Websites.
Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have the right to know what we collect, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To use any of these rights, contact us at the email above.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or anonymize it.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
This site is for business owners and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
